Managing Director Sales (m/w/d) - Spain, Abadiño

Abadiño is located in the Basque Country (Euskadi), in the northern region of Spain near Bilbao. You will be part of a dynamic, international organization with strong roots in both European and global markets. Note: This position requires a reasonable degree of travel flexibility for market development and customer engagement across the Iberian region and beyond.

We are expanding our team and are looking for you to join us as:

Managing Director Sales (m/w/d) - Spain, Abadiño

Your Responsibilities

• Operative and strategic leadership and further development of the entire sales division
• Steering all sales activities to open new markets and customer segments, particularly in international export markets
• Achievement of defined sales targets and continuous revenue growth in the Iberian region (Spain + Portugal) and Export markets
• Identification of market potential, trends, and competitive developments to position the company
• Building, maintaining, and developing long-term business relationships with key customers
• Coordination and support of sales teams, as well as optimization of sales processes in national and international markets
• Close collaboration with product management, marketing, and production to optimize the product portfolio and market strategy
• Representation of the company at trade fairs and networking events to strengthen market presence
• Personnel responsibility for the sales team – cooperative and appreciative leadership of employees, staff development, and performance management
• Ensuring efficient budget utilization and a sales strategy that conserves resources

Your Profile

• Many years of management experience in national and international sales, ideally in tools, machines, or technical capital goods
• Ability to develop and implement sales strategies with a focus on growth and profitability
• Experience in building and maintaining long-term customer relationships and key account management
• Proven track record in B2B multi-step distribution and multi-brand selling
• Knowledge of modern CRM systems, e-commerce, and digital sales strategies
• Understanding of key business figures (EBIT, sales, margin, incoming orders)
• Experience in international business and establishing sales partnerships
• Ability to conduct successful contract negotiations with customers, suppliers, and partners
• Fluent Spanish and business fluent English; other foreign languages advantageous
• Confident handling of MS Office programs
• High travel flexibility
• Leadership personality with strong implementation skills and entrepreneurial thinking
• Positive, results-oriented working style and strong communication skills
